Also
known as double-wire binding because two wires go through a square
punched hole. As with all mechanical binding styles, Wire-O binding
allows books to lay flat when opened, and fold 360 degrees for
single-hand use. That makes this style ideal for products such
as cookbooks, instruction manuals, calendars and display and promotional
materials.
One
advantage of Wire-O binding is that it does not step up
when opened, allowing images to seamlessly cross over. Semi-concealed,
fully-concealed and wraparound covers; mixed stocks; foldouts;
pockets and index tabs can all be incorporated into Wire-O-bound
products for increased versatility. Wire-O binding elements are
available in multiple colors and diameters to give your books
a creative flair.
At
Finish Line Binderies, we have five semi-automatic Wire-O binding
lines, including four James Burn machines, to give you plenty
of production muscle and scheduling flexibility.
We've recently added a Kugler-Womako high speed binding line. This equipment will punch and bind inline, eliminating the double handling of collated books. Having the option to provide both services simultaneously, we are able to deliver more aggressive pricing and tighter turn times on your largest of projects.
